Accepting bids at starting figure above. This is an honest appraisal of Mavis our camper. She is lovely. Please bid with complete confidence - see my feedback rating. Anyone under 10 points please get in touch with your details. Happy bidding...

We want to make absolutely sure that Mavis goes to the right owner and that the sale is completely transparent for all concerned....if having read the blurb below you're still genuinely interested we're happy to help. But PLEASE do not waste my time and yours if you are not sincere or genuine.
Just a quick note about MOT history. She hadn't been used very much before we acquired her. I have an invoice from a previous owner to get her through an MOT for £3k in 2022.
Recent MOT in 2026, before carrying out all the bespoke interior work / mechanicals cost me £788.00.
The MOT examiner told me the smoke or vapour from exhaust was only due to the lack of use. Since using her / carrying out a full service she's been fantastic and smoke free. She drives very well indeed for her age....

One final word before you dive in, be prepared to roll up your sleeves on occasion as being a classic vehicle she does require tlc every now & then. Those of you without the necessary knowledge / inclination are advised to buy a modern plastic monster 😁....

I'm a time served skilled multi-trades worker with years of experience under my belt so no jobbing DIY here....

£155 insurance (Peter James)
Zero road tax next year (2027)
No MOT needed next year (2027)

Selling our beloved 'Mavis' due to change of plans.
Where to start.....full MOT Feb 2026 and taxed.
Purchased for £4500 in October 2025 and spent 10 months completely refitting her with her current brand new bespoke interior seen in the pictures.
New everything - cosy interior with wooden walls (coated in gorgeous smelling Danish Oil) fully insulated and lined. New ceiling with all new lighting and electrics. New x2 skylights with electric fans fitted. Roof insulated.
Running 2 solar panels on roof and x2 leisure batteries (these items were in situ when purchased) plus new starter battery. New mattress and new German made sprung base kit...bed dimensions 4ft x 5ft 10".
Mechanically she is excellent. New MOT Feb 2026. Full service with all fluids and oils.
New clutch £2k and new clutch slave and master cylinders fitted. New reversing camera and monitor. New Radiator with correct fluids. At some point in her life power steering has been fitted - a common mod.
New tyres and New brake pads and shoes fitted all round.
Newly fitted shower. We use a rechargable shower. 70L water tank beneath bed accessible from both inside and by rear door. Loads of storage everywhere.
New gas cabinet and 7kg gas bottle for hob stove. Fridge with freezer. Mood lighting. Overhead puc lights work on dimmer switch. Spot lights with usb charging. Double fan setup in cab, as screen fan doesn't currently function, but this never bothered us.
Diesel heater fitted. Site electrics already in situ so kept. There are x2 double plug sockets for shore power.
Perfect for holidays or getaways / festivals & for campsites or off grid.
All welding work carried out, just a few minor rust spots found in cab area and repaired. New front wing fitted. Other one available as a spare. Brackets for a Fiamma awning in situ along the side.
The idea for the build was to keep her simple and not to go mad with electrics or gadgets. To that end we fulfilled the brief and Mavis was created to be a comfortable and cosy little van. Almost forgot hand made new blinds to each window, and privacy uvb/uva repellent wrap applied to windows too which keeps her surprisingly cool in the summer months 😁...
We hope you like the look of her.

Mavis will come with a host of spares. New shock absorbers, spare new tyres, new larger set of wheels x4, new end exhaust silencer & tail pipe piece as the eagle eyed will have spotted the end of the exhaust pipe is looking frail (silencer is all good though) Loads of other really useful spares we planned on using over the coming months as we're perfectionists... 😁

The new owner will not be disappointed. Had circumstances been different we planned to coat her in Raptor paint, but will leave this to the new owners. All aluminium body means no rot anywhere. Underneath is amazing as previous owner treated the chassis with Lanoguard.
She is lovely, water tight and ready for some wonderful adventures. Please be aware Mavis is 40 years old and on the slow side. Think 45 / 50 mph. But going slow and steady is part of the wind down process isn't it 🤗.

We think we have spent north of 10k over the past year (loads of receipts and service books and info here along with V5c and MOT certificate) but are realistic and realise Mavis is not everyone's cup of tea. So a starting figure of just £6,500.00 with no reserve is very reasonable we feel. We would like her to go to a new loving home where she'll be looked after and enjoyed....

If you have any questions please call.
PLEASE PLEASE NO TIME WASTERS. If you bid you buy.

Obviously for a vehicle of this kind be prepared to tinker with her occasionally and she will repay you with many more miles and smiles. She's done only 90k miles and has many more in her still. We've probably left many things out, as the last 10 months have been a whirlwind with many full days worked to complete this beautiful rebuild.

Please call 07432 147297 if you would like to view / would like any more info / pics (50 plus). She lives in Tonbridge, Kent. Payment by bank transfer please.
