This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 10 x 8 inches (254x203mm).

It shows a full-length portrait of two men, identified as brothers Ian (left) and Stuart Withers, standing in what appears to be an office. They are both wearing suits and glasses, posing with their hands behind their backs in front of a large map pinned to the wall. To the left, a rotary telephone is visible on the floor next to a piece of equipment.

The reverse has a typed caption in purple ink that reads: "'bugged' talk heard by radio ham. 17.6.71. Photo Shows: The brothers: Ian (left) and Stuart Withers. acpy22446419. 710616/03/02. There are several ink stamps, including one for "Associated Newspapers Limited." with an address at "Carmelite house, london, e.c.4." and listing the "Daily mail" and "The evening news". Another large stamp reads "please return t.V. Times Picture Library". A handwritten pencil annotation at the bottom reads "law + order - police. Misc - Private Detectives".
