This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is approximately 9½ x 7 inches (240x180mm).

It shows three young soldiers in British Army dress uniform marching in formation with SA80 rifles held across their chests. They wear peaked caps with badges, dark tunics with white collars, and white gloves. The soldier on the right is identified as David Jones.

The back features a green typed caption slip reading: "Pap 227228-4 (k-b) sandhurst, surrey: 8.4.88: pa: eyes right. david jones (right), the eldest son of falklands vc hero colonel 'h' jones, in the March past at the royal military academy, sandhurst today where he was commissioned as an officer." A date stamp reads "received apr 1988 t.v. Times".
