Beautiful vintage studio pottery bowl featuring a rich layered blue and teal glaze.

This wheel-thrown stoneware vessel has a rounded form with a gently flared/rolled rim and an especially attractive glaze ranging from deep cobalt and teal to turquoise-green and smoky blue-gray. The glaze develops a finely mottled, almost crystalline appearance around the upper body and interior, with warm brown/ochre tones breaking along the rim.

The underside is unmarked. A previous paper sticker was removed and no maker’s mark or signature was found underneath, so the potter remains unidentified.

A striking piece of vintage studio pottery that works beautifully as a decorative bowl, small planter/cachepot, catchall, or simply displayed as ceramic art.
