Haunted Doll Human-Animal Stuffy AZAZEL  Demonic Attachment Ouija Board Beckoned
This doll, and a few others, came to me via a request for assistance through my TT channel. A lady reached out wanting what she felt were several "evil" dolls removed from her home properly, so no negativity would linger.
I gathered more information and accepted the dolls. This family, we will call the "Smiths", consists of loving parents and twin girls, age 11 ("going on 24", per their Mom). The fun-loving, smart girls were constantly absorbing all sorts of online content and were extremely mature for their age.
The girls had been watching my content, as well as other similar reels, and begging for a haunted doll. Their "raised religious" Mom, having always been very afraid of anything demonic or creepy, vehemently said an unusual "No". The twins, creative and industrious girls inspired by a video, knew there was more than one way to skin a cat. So they got permission to order a "board game" via TT shop, which, unbeknownst to Mom, was really a Ouija board.
As soon as the spirit board arrived, they gathered their dolls around the dining room table and held a séance while their parents were next door, having dinner and a hot tub soak with their best friends, the neighbors.
The girls had prepared while awaiting their delivery by researching  occult ritual magic and had prepared some spells and chants. They began excitedly using the Ouija board, speaking with spirits and inviting them to inhabit their dolls.
The planchette started flying around the board; at one point, it even flew off the table, to the girls' delight. After a fast-moving hour and a half, they had 10 "haunted dolls," along with names they had obtained through the Ouija board. Mind you, being children, they did no intention-setting, no prayers for protection, no candles, no bells, and they did not close the Ouija session with "Goodbye", which left the dangerous portal open.
The parents were enjoying the cool spring night, a fire in the fire pit, and some wine with the neighbors, with no idea what was happening at home. They had left the girls with a pizza and Netflix. The Dad started getting a bad headache and called the evening off a little early, so the parents walked in on their daughters, wearing their last year's Halloween witch costumes, having a full-blown occult ritual.
The Mom was massively upset. She had the girls gather up their dolls and sent them to bed. Angry and scared, she told her husband to throw the Ouija board into the neighbors' fire pit, which he did, sharing the story and a quick laugh with his neighbors who were still outside.
The next few days, the girls seemed different. At first she thought they were just upset about being grounded. After a few days, she began to worry more. The usually vivacious, bubbly twins weren't talking a mile a minute, and they weren't giggling. They weren't right. Mom's radar was on full blast.
Shortly after, they were supposed to be reading in their shared room, because they were grounded from TV and the Internet for a month. Having that "Mom sense"  that it was too quiet, she listened at the bedroom door. Her daughters spoke in hushed, strange, monotoned voices. Then she heard a strange voice, then another and another. Thinking they were either watching TV or on the computer, she busted in the door.
Instead, to her horror, they were seated in a circle conversing with the 10 seance dolls around the same Ouija board. The Mom accused them of ordering a new board, but they insisted that it was in their room the morning after the seance. The Mom bagged up the dolls and Ouija board, put them in the trunk of her husband's car, and contacted me. I advised her to do a spiritual cleansing of her home, which she did carefully. A few days later, the dolls and Ouija board were in a box on my doorstep, with a letter listing the dolls' names and thanking me for taking them off her hands. She says the girls are getting "back to normal".
This doll, an innocent-looking human/bear hybrid stuffy, was reportedly named Zandy, per the twins. Zandy told them he was the ghost of a man who lived in a workshop that once stood where their back shed is. He claimed to be both a Father and a lover of children. He boasted that he had been watching over the girls and protecting them. However, a true and much darker story shone through my mirror scry.
On the surface, Thomas Zander seemed like an average late-1800s ghost: a dark, gaunt, semi-transparent apparition of a tired-looking man, faded quickly into view and then back out. He wore an old-fashioned knit cap, a linen shirt, knee-length pants, and a leather apron. When I took a closer look, I saw that Thomas was anything but average and literally had the blood of his own child on his hands.
Times were hard, and poverty was a reality. Thomas lost his wife to typhoid fever, leaving him with no trade, living in a small shack, trying to care for his emaciated, nearly starving family. He had 5 sons and a 3-year-old daughter. The oldest boy, Jody, nearly a man himself, took charge of his brothers, leading the rambunctious boys to hunt and garden. Suzy, the little girl, was a darling dirty-faced waif, still wearing a pale yellow dress two sizes too small, leaving her cotton underwear exposed. Lost without her mother, she clung mostly to the middle child, Ben. He was a sensitive, loving sort who gave Suzy the love and tenderness she needed as badly as meat and potatoes.
Regret, overwhelm, and grief led Thomas to drink. Plus, the whiskey dulled his appetite, leaving more for the kids. They lived mostly on cabbage and carrot soup, with the occasional rabbit or squirrel tossed in. Thomas loved his children, but like many men of his day, he rarely, if ever, showed it, and definitely never verbalized it.
Drunk and angry on a Sunday night, Thomas screamed out in anger. He had gone out to check the small game traps and took advantage of a rare moment of privacy to vent his frustrations. His hateful Father’s ghost followed him, especially when he was drinking, telling him time and again, “I told you so”. Thomas couldn't argue with the haunting specter because he knew that he should have listened and learned a trade before taking a wife. Hindsight 20/20, his lust for Samantha had been his undoing. She was a virginal good girl; his impetuous hard-on overtook reason, and having her in his marital bed seemed more important than learning a trade.
He rubbed his eyes as his father’s ghost began to morph from the big, angry man in work overalls, he grew up with, into a beige and brown-colored furry creature, half man, half beast. It had the body of an animal, perhaps a goat, and the face of an elf, and it walked on two feet despite its cloven hooves. Thomas told himself it was all an illusion distilled from a whiskey bottle.
What an elaborate illusion, he thought as the beast, in a dark red velvet vest and matching bow tie, began to speak with a thick Irish brogue. Introducing himself as Azazel, the goat demon. He went on to explain that he was an agent of Satan himself and had come to make Thomas a deal. He promised Thomas he would teach him the trade of metalworking, of which he was a master, and that after one day of tutoring, he could open his own blacksmithery. As a bonus, he could keep the tools he would learn with. All of this, for one small payment of 30 pounds, collectible in exactly one year.
Sobering up from the strange offer, Thomas began to think. Well, this Irishman knew sterling pounds better than he, a poor American, did, but if his math was accurate, and it usually was, that was a payment of just over 100 US dollars. As a blacksmith her would easily make 10 times that amount in one year. Thomas could repair the house, build an addition, feed the kids well, and maybe even take a young widow to marry. Again allowing his peter to do his thinking, he hastily agreed to the bargain and shook Azazel's hoof.
Thomas learned the trade quickly, and his success was fast, just as promised. The town had been absent a blacksmith for some time after Mr. Waller died, and there was a great need for his skills. His business thrived. He stopped drinking and began supporting his family financially. He had even begun courting the widow Waller, who was great with the children, especially Suzy. It was coming up on a year since he had last seen his strange mentor, and he was ready to pay up, with interest if needed.
Azazel came again on a Sunday evening. This night was so different from the year before. The once emaciated family was hardly recognizable. His boys were big and strapping; little Suzy, now in a pale yellow dress in her size, ran across the yard playing joyfully as they had their weekly visit with the widow Waller. Thomas looked at Suzy and laughed. The little girl was now so happy and well-fed that she was almost chubby; why…doing the math in his head, he thought, she had to weigh about…30 pounds.
He swallowed hard at his own foolishness, knowing he had fallen victim to one of Lucifer’s tricks, just as people have been doing since the beginning of time. His heart sank when he saw Azezel heading up the dirt road to his home, holding a small spring-balance livestock scale. He was there to collect his 30 pounds, in the form of little Suzy.
Once again drunk and haunted by the apparition of his Father and now, also, little Suzy, Thomas went to his blacksmith shop, placed a shotgun barrel in his mouth, and pulled the trigger, putting an end to his miserable existence.
Thomas haunted the blacksmith shop quietly for centuries until it was torn down; then his spirit lay dormant for some time. The girls' spell woke his dormant entity, along with the demonic attachment of Azazel; together they are “Zandy”.
Zandy is an angry spirit who likes to slam doors, windows, and drawers. He also knocks art pieces from the walls. Zandy has shoved the dolls beside him off of the shelves, especially my higher vibrational "good ghosts". He is very displeased with sage, white candles, and prayers. He tries to threaten, insult, and scare, though he isn't very good at it. He said that my weight is “such a deal in pounds that it would be a hefty proposition, only for the means of a millionaire.” I think that was a roundabout fat joke. Good thing I don't care what he thinks, lol. He appeared behind me in my bathroom mirror; that scare was a little better.
Zander is an unusual spirit who, along with a demonic attachment, possesses this stuffy, which strangely changes facial expressions. He will make a great addition to any haunted doll collection, especially for those who are interested in deals with the devil, those who like goats, or goat-human-demon hybrids and/ or anyone who would like to possibly help Thomas free himself from the bondage of Azazel.
All dolls come as is; their imperfection is part of their charm. Reminder: I never groom any doll, as this is a sacred bonding ritual that I save for the keeper. As always, photo props and background items are not included.
