Beautiful and very rare to find antique Victorian period 3 opaline birds eggs in nest table casket.   This is the only 3 egg nest that I have ever found at auction.   Gold gilt bronze or brass nest with 3 sweeping tall branches meeting high above the eggs with a metal rope lower down to eggs holding a curious double ball shaped weight that could crack the eggs.  White , mint green and pink opaline glass eggs. Green egg won't open easily so I have not tried.  No makers mark.
Measurements are 7.25 inches high x 6 inches wide at farthest point. Each egg is about 3 inches long.   Condition age and use wear to metal and minimal old grime and residue in spots.  White egg old crack on bottom half and lid doesn't lock shut because metal nest branch is blocking it. Some branches have more of a sweeping bend than others possibly made that way or due to handling.  Very old fragile piece from 150 years ago.
