4: Sml 10ct Yellow Gold & Carnelian
Fob Seal Style Bracelet/Neck Chain Pendant
This is the fourth of ten small pendant
charms designed for a charm bracelet, fine neck chain or albertina watch chain.
Each is either marked as gold or has been tested to confirm their gold
fineness. They are all likely to date to the mid-century era of the 1950s
through 1960s.
This small unmarked 10ct gold pendant is
in the shape of a traditional watch fob seal. It has an integral bale ring
complete with an attached matching gold jump ring ready to hang. Below it has a
simple and elegant open scrollwork stem with ribbed gold bands that curl
gracefully down to an oval, plain-polished base. The underside features a bezel
set oval carnelian engraved with an intaglio monogram of script initials
(possibly 'DC' or 'JC').
