John Williams a legend who has shaped the history and sound of film music will come to Japan for the first time in 30 years in September 2023 and the album ``John Williams in Tokyo'' will contain his first concert with the Saito Kinen Orchestra. The physical release of this work is in four formats: regular edition CD LP Blu-ray and special deluxe edition of CD and Blu-ray. The regular edition CD and LP will include 11 songs conducted by John Williams and ``Tributes! (for Seiji)'' conducted by conductor Stephane Deneve which will be released for the first time in the world. (C)RS

John Williams a legend who has shaped the history and sound of film music came to Japan last September for the first time in 30 years and released the album ``John Williams in Tokyo'' which contains his first concert with the Saito Kinen Orchestra. John Williams is a legendary composer/conductor who has been at the forefront of Hollywood film music for over 50 years winning five Academy Awards four Golden Globe Awards and recently won the 66th Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Composition winning a total of 26 Grammy Awards. The physical release of this work is in four formats: regular edition CD LP Blu-ray and special deluxe edition of CD and Blu-ray. The regular edition CD and LP will include 11 songs conducted by John Williams and ``Tributes! (for Seiji)'' conducted by conductor Stephane Deneve which will be released for the first time in the world. The Blu-ray includes the entire concert including the MC the first half conducted by Stephane Deneve and the second half conducted by John Williams. Additionally the Blu-ray footage can be enjoyed in three types of audio: stereo surround and Dolby Atmos. The special deluxe edition of CD and Blu-ray is an SA-CD ~ hybrid version that uses a DSD master.The SA-CD includes the first half and the second half of 17 songs (excluding the MC) and this Blu-ray includes the entire concert as well as interview footage with John Williams and Stephane Deneve which was recorded for this work. Last September John Williams came to Japan at the invitation of Seiji Ozawa for the ``Sage Ozawa Matsumoto Festival'' of which Seiji Ozawa is the general director and for a special performance commemorating the 125th anniversary of the founding of Deutsche Grammophon a prestigious classical music label. Following collaborations with the Berlin Philharmonic Boston Symphony Orchestra Vienna Philharmonic and Los Angeles Recording Arts Orchestra this is his first collaboration with the Saito Kinen Orchestra. Tickets for both performances became a hot topic with tickets being flooded with applications on sales sites and selling out on the same day. John Williams and Seiji Ozawa have been close friends since the days when Ozawa served as the 13th music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and hosted the Tanglewood music festival in western Massachusetts. It has been Seiji Ozawa's long-held dream to have John Williams and the Saito Kinen Orchestra perform together in Japan. universal music
