2006 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 3 2.7 TDV6 S – MANUAL – 161K – LONG MOT – VERY CLEAN

For sale is my Land Rover Discovery 3 TDV6 S, 55 plate, manual gearbox, finished in grey with black alloys.

Covered approximately 161,000 genuine miles.

For its age and mileage, the Discovery is in really good overall condition, particularly the bodywork. It presents extremely well with no major dents or rust, and the black wheels and privacy glass set it off nicely.

MOT until 7th June 2027.

Recent work includes brakes and pads, and last month it had the crossover pipe replaced/repaired, which is a substantial job on these vehicles.

It has very good tyres all round, tow bar, seven-seat configuration with the rear seats folding flat, privacy glass and the usual Discovery 3 features.

It starts, runs and drives and has been used normally.

Known faults / points to be aware of:

There is an intermittent suspension fault, which I am having looked at. It may potentially be a small air leak/airbag issue, but until diagnosed I can’t say exactly what is causing it.

The gear lever gaiter/cover needs replacing because the plastic retaining clip has broken. Land Rover quoted approximately £180 for the replacement part.

The vehicle came to me with one injector blanked off. During normal everyday driving it generally isn’t noticeable, but if the throttle is initially pressed hard / under heavier acceleration it can produce some black smoke, which then clears as the vehicle settles.

I’ve included these points so prospective buyers know exactly what they’re coming to see. It’s a 20-year-old Discovery with 161k miles, so I’m not selling it as a perfect vehicle, but overall it’s a very presentable, usable Discovery 3 with excellent bodywork and a long MOT.
