Sterling Silver Tea Tongs, Nips, Crested Antique c.1770, William Chatterton
Antique silver tea tongs or sometimes known as sugar nips, the makers mark is very difficult to make out but we believe there's a letter W from which we would say there is a good chance these may be by William Chatterton c.1770.
In good order but do have old light repair to legs between crest and bowls section, and carry an unresearched family crest to one side of the central section.
They measure 116mm in length.
