Scarce antique Camillus advertising bartender’s pocketknife made for the Brown-Forman Distillery Company of Louisville, Kentucky.

The advertising handle reads:

“BROWN-FORMAN DISTILLERY CO. INC.

AT LOUISVILLE IN KENTUCKY

SINCE 1870”

Features a folding knife blade, combination bottle/can opener and corkscrew. Measures approximately 3 inches closed.

The Camillus Cutlery Co. four-line tang stamp appears consistent with knives manufactured from approximately the early 1930s through the mid-1940s. Brown-Forman itself was founded in 1870; that handle wording is company history, not the knife’s manufacture date. Camillus tang-stamp reference⁠

Condition is well-used and completely uncleaned. Blade and tools show substantial patina, oxidation, staining and wear. Handle scales show discoloration, scratches, shrinkage/warping and a dark blemish or damaged area. Please examine every photograph closely for exact condition.
