After refurbishing, operation confirmed with an external AA battery box; also works without problems with gumstick batteries.
No signs of battery leakage, and the battery terminals are sparkling clean.
The crucial pinch roller has been replaced with a new one, so there are no dents, smooth or shiny surfaces, and it performs perfectly.
The playback sound is clear, with no excessive noise, and it reproduces very good sound.
Playback, stop, fast forward, rewind, and reverse (invert) functions have been tested for a long period of time.
FWD and REV playback speeds are stable and normal; the speed difference has been measured and confirmed to be within acceptable limits.
There is no noticeable sound fluctuation, and the wow and flutter measurement results are good.
All operation buttons and selector buttons on the main unit have been tested.
Volume control is free of crackling noises.
