Extremely rare antique Chinese hand painted original artwork on Mulberry paper. 

The artwork features a female deity holding a fly swat. 

The style of the painting and especially the deity's shoes showed the artwork was painted in the late Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) to early Qing Dynasty. 

The artwork came from a temple. The temple was located in Guangzhou and was being demolished. The artwork and several other similar items were used to display on an altar table in front of a group of Buddha statues. 

The artwork was in poor condition and was meticulously restored by an expert in Hong Kong. This was in the 1970s. 

The artwork was subsequently brought to Thailand where a bamboo frame and a silk border were added. This was to protect the artwork and indeed it is still in excellent condition after 50 years. 

I can guarantee you will not find another one of this kind of artwork here in Australia or even in China.

'Most of my collection is one of a kind. I bought the items because I liked it for myself. They were never intended to be resold. Each item has a story and when possible, I hand carried them in my luggage from all over the world to bring back to 

Australia. Some of the items have travelled a long way away and some of the items has been with me for more than 50 years. 

I am now retired and need to downsize. I will not be able to buy a similar item again and not able to sell it at the same price. If you buy an item from me, it most likely is the only one, I have. Not only you are buying an item you are also buying 50 years of experience.
