Vintage French Bronze Maple Leaf Tray Large Sculptural Botanical Centrepiece.
Large vintage French decorative tray cast in bronze and modelled as a naturalistic maple leaf. The substantial size and pronounced relief give the piece a distinctly sculptural quality, making it equally suitable as a functional vide-poche or as a decorative centrepiece.
The leaf is rendered with deeply defined veins, irregular serrated edges and gently undulating surfaces that reproduce the organic character of natural foliage. An openwork branch-shaped stem completes the composition. The bronze has developed a warm golden-brown patina, with darker oxidation and tonal variations settling naturally into the recessed details and emphasizing the modelling.

Condition

Grand vide-poche décoratif français vintage en bronze, moulé sous la forme naturaliste d’une feuille d’érable. Ses dimensions généreuses et son relief prononcé lui confèrent une véritable présence sculpturale, permettant de l’utiliser aussi bien comme vide-poche que comme centre de table décoratif.
La feuille présente un travail détaillé des nervures, des contours dentelés irréguliers et des surfaces légèrement ondulées qui reproduisent le caractère organique du feuillage. Une branche ajourée formant la tige complète harmonieusement la composition. Le bronze possède une belle patine ancienne aux nuances brun doré, ponctuée d’oxydations et de tonalités plus sombres dans les creux, mettant naturellement en valeur le relief.
