Barcelona-style lounge chair with matching ottoman / footstool in black with polished metal frames.

The upholstery is black, but there are no labels or markings identifying the material, so I cannot confirm whether it is genuine leather or a leather-effect/synthetic material.

I have owned the chair and ottoman for approximately 16 years. Overall they are in good cosmetic condition for their age and still present very well, as shown in the photographs.

The upholstery has been cleaned and the metalwork is in good overall condition. The metal frame could benefit from a proper metal polish to bring the finish up further.

Condition / repairs required:

The support straps on the chair were replaced approximately 7 years ago. One of these straps has now broken and will need replacing.

The ottoman still has its older/original straps and several have now broken, so these will also require replacement.

Previous replacement of the chair straps involved drilling/riveting the fixing points, which can be seen clearly in the photographs.

There is a small area of damage to the edge of the chair seat cushion, shown close-up in the photographs. This looks repairable.

The stitching securing one of the attachment straps on the rear of the chair cushion is also starting to come away and would benefit from repair, as shown close-up in the photographs.

The ottoman cushion itself is in very good condition with no significant damage that I can see.

The cushions, buttoning and polished metal frames otherwise present very well for their age.

I've photographed the chair and ottoman both assembled and with the cushions removed so the condition and required repairs can be seen clearly.

I'm selling because after approximately 16 years of ownership I'm ready for a change, and free up some space.

A very attractive Barcelona-style chair and ottoman set for somebody prepared to carry out the required strap and minor upholstery repairs.
