After refurbishing, the unit's operation was confirmed using a spare gumstick battery.
There are no signs of battery leakage, and the battery terminals are sparkling clean.
The playback sound is clear, with no excessive noise, and produces very good sound.
Playback, stop, fast forward, rewind, and auto-reverse (invert) functions have been tested for an extended period.
Both FWD and REV playback speeds are stable and normal; speed differences have been measured and confirmed to be within acceptable limits.
Both FWD and REV have no significant sound fluctuations, and wow and flutter measurements are good.
All operation buttons and selector buttons on the unit have been tested.
Volume control is free of crackling noises.
It also features a 3.5mm standard earphone jack, allowing you to enjoy it with commercially available earphones.
