Description
A distinctive French Art Nouveau decorative vase combining richly glazed ceramic with an elaborate sculptural pewter mount.
The ceramic body displays vibrant blue and turquoise tones, creating a striking contrast with the pewter decoration. The metalwork is modelled with stylised flowers, foliage and berry motifs, characteristic of the organic, nature-inspired vocabulary of the Art Nouveau period. Green cabochon-style inserts provide additional colour and decorative depth.
An irregular triangular rim gives the vase a particularly sculptural silhouette and reinforces its handcrafted artistic character. The combination of flowing botanical ornament, coloured ceramic and applied metalwork makes this an attractive example of early 20th-century French decorative arts.
The underside bears an indistinct signature, indicating an artist's production, although the maker remains unidentified.

Good overall antique condition, with age-related wear consistent with the period. The pewter has developed a natural patina, with minor signs of use throughout. L'ouverture irrégulière de forme triangulaire confère au vase une silhouette particulièrement sculpturale et renforce son caractère artisanal. L'association de la céramique colorée, du décor végétal et du travail en étain en fait un bel exemple des arts décoratifs français du début du XXe siècle.
Le dessous porte une signature difficilement lisible, témoignant d'une production d'artiste, bien que son auteur reste non identifié.
