Belle châtelaine ancienne en métal doré / laiton, composée de deux médaillons ajourés reliés par une chaîne à larges anneaux, accompagnée d’un petit élément décoratif en forme de gland ou grelot.

Le premier médaillon présente une scène galante en relief, représentant un couple assis dans un jardin, dans le goût du XVIIIᵉ siècle.

Le second médaillon est particulièrement décoratif, avec un élégant motif ajouré de deux oiseaux affrontés parmi des branches et feuillages, dans un style évoquant les décors rocaille.

Probablement utilisée comme châtelaine, porte-clés ou accessoire décoratif de ceinture.

Attractive antique French gilt brass chatelaine or key holder, composed of two finely detailed openwork medallions connected by a chain of large circular links, with a small decorative pendant.

One medallion depicts a romantic courting couple seated in a garden, inspired by 18th-century decorative scenes.

The second features an attractive openwork design with two birds among scrolling branches and foliage.

Probably originally used as a chatelaine, key holder or decorative belt accessory.
