This Victorian bracket clock, crafted by Maple of London, features a triple-train, eight-day chain fusee striking movement. It is designed to strike on eight bells and a gong. The silvered arch dial includes integrated Slow/Fast, Chimes, and Strike/Silent levers, complemented by gilt engraved spandrels, all enclosed by a glazed door. The clock rests on a stepped bracket plinth and ogee bracket feet. Its silvered chapter ring displays Roman numerals for hours. The substantial three-train fusee movement incorporates an anchor escapement. The rear of the case houses eight hammers that strike on eight bells or 5 gongs and an hour gong, audible through a glazed rear door. Measuring 48cm, plus bracket of 29cm tall the clock is in perfect working order and includes its original pendulum, door key and winder provided.
