Part of the ultra-popular Alpinestars Andes range, this fourth incarnation offers some of the same familiar features with improved areas. The Andes v4 Drystar jacket is constructed from reinforced 450D polyfabric for long-lasting performance in all weather with ripstop reinforcement in high-abrasion areas. The exclusive Drystar Membrane is 100% waterproof and breathable for optimal comfort in wet conditions. The innovative DVS system with front air inlets and back outlets ensures optimal airflow even on the hottest rides. CE Certified EN17092-4:2020 Class A, Category II, the Andes V4 jacket features removable CE-certified Nucleon Flex Plus protection on the shoulders and elbows and is designed to accommodate a back and chest protector, as well as the installation of a Tech-Air 5 airbag (not included). The ergonomic, pre-curved sleeves and stretch panels in strategic areas, along with multiple adjustments at the neck, waist, sleeves, and cuffs, provide superior comfort and movement. Practical pockets provide storage with waterproof front pockets, one large pocket at the lower back and two internal pockets. It also offers a hydration tube loop on the chest. The front closure features a waterproof VISLON zipper to prevent water ingress. A removable long-sleeved thermal lining (100g in the body and 80g in the sleeves) gives versatility for cooler temperatures, and reflective detailing on the outer jacket gives maximised visibility. Great fit Nice touch you can put additional chest protection in this jacket if you wish to. Quality is great. Not tested in rain as of yet but two other guys in my riding group have and said stayed nice and dry.
