This lidded Mottahedeh Blue Canton Oval Box is simply charming with it's traditional hand-painted blue-and-white river landscape and a charming berry-style lid finial. The backstamp confirms this piece was manufactured by Vista Alegre in Portugal for Mottahedeh's Historic Charleston Reproductions line. The Crown and VA Mark indicate it was produced using Vista Alegre's standard factory mark spanning from 1980 to 1992. In excellent condition with no chips or cracks and just a little friction wear under the lid. Measures 5.25" w x 4.25" l x 3.25 h w/lid.
