Victorian Classical sterling silver desk tray. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1884. Rectangular with curved corners. Curved rim with repousse ferns and flowers “wrapped” with acanthus leaves; same-mounted corner supports. Interlaced monogram engraved in well. Fully marked including maker's stamp, pattern no. 8177 (first produced in 1884), and director's letter M (1873-91).
