Although not dated and the edition is not stated as a first edition, DeWolfe, Fiske & Company is the original publisher of this book in 1831. If this is not a first edition, it is still a very, very old edition, most likely no more than 1850 or so.

PLEASE NOTE: this book is very old, and the pages are extremely brown (age toning) and brittle, which is quite common for books of this genre and age

The Dust Jacket is in a Brodart protective cover – DJ has small chips along the edges with a couple of small pieces missing (see photos)

The boards (covers) are very nice with great detail remaining (see photos). The boards are as nice as the pages are bad.

As noted, this is an extremely rare copy and quite collectible
