Captain Paul Prichard Blackburn Jr. (later Vice Admiral) was a prominent U.S. Navy aviator and commander. A United States Naval Academy graduate (Class of 1930), he commanded the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (1955–1956) and later briefly led the U.S. 7th Fleet during the Vietnam War. He belonged to a distinguished multi-generation naval family.
