Lot of 21 original vintage black-and-white snapshot photographs, apparently documenting the same family and children during the 1940s.

One photograph is marked “Feb 44” on the back, providing a February 1944 date for at least that image. The remaining photographs are unmarked on the backs.

The photographs capture wonderful examples of everyday American family life, including children fishing along the water, playing outdoors, riding a tricycle, sitting in a wagon, sledding in the snow, an outdoor bath scene, family yard scenes, and other candid childhood moments. An older automobile can also be seen in one of the photographs.

These are particularly appealing as vernacular photography—informal snapshots documenting ordinary life rather than professionally posed studio portraits.
