Nice original 1940 Buick automobile literature and owner's paperwork lot, including several pieces of period Buick/General Motors material.
The group includes an attractive orange and black Buick Owner Service Policy with the early Buick Valve-in-Head Straight Eight emblem. Inside are the original 1000 Mile and 2000 Mile inspection coupons, maintenance recommendations, inspection lists, and spaces for the owner's name, serial number, engine number, delivery date, and authorized Buick dealer.
Also included is a Buick Motor Division, General Motors Sales Corporation, Flint, Michigan letter addressed "Dear Buick Owners." Importantly, the text specifically refers to "your 1940 Buick," providing a clear period date for this material.
The lot also includes the colorful orange "NOW... how do you keep your Buick NEW?" maintenance booklet featuring excellent stylized artwork of a Buick owner with cleaning supplies.
A later Buick Car Papers folder from Coleman Buick Co., Inc., 1060 Spruce Street, Trenton, New Jersey is also included. This piece appears to be from a later period than the 1940 material and is included as part of the assembled Buick paperwork group.
