Vintage 1950s Howdy Doody Jointed Wood & Composition Doll by Cameo - 12"
Classic mid-century Americana TV icon. Features a composition head, vibrant multi-jointed turned-wood segmented body, and original blue fabric bandana. Retains its rare original orange factory paper label on the bottom of the left shoe ("Cameo Art-Quality Prod."). Perfect for a Grandmillennial, Maximalist, or Nostalgic toy collection.
CONDITION REPORT (See Photos):
- Head: Allover fine age crazing. Notable chip/loss on nose tip; paint wear/scuffs on the back of the molded hair.
- Torso & Decal: Chest decal ("Howdy Doody © Bob Smith") is legible with edge flaking and small losses. Minor scuffs on the back.
- Limbs & Paint: Great overall paint vibrance. Expected scattered scuffs, paint flakes, and friction rubbing at joints (notably hips/thighs). Left yellow hand has exposed/frayed stringing at the tip.
- Feet: Bottoms show typical shelf wear; left foot retains the mostly complete Cameo paper label with a vintage ink mark.
- Structure: Original internal stringing is completely intact; limbs move and pose freely as designed. Bandana shows light discoloration and frayed edges.
