Up for auction is a museum-grade piece of culinary and Southern pottery history: An original, handmade, limited-edition Viking Range Corporation 10th Anniversary Commemorative Ceramic Tray (Edition #17 of 100).

Provenance & History: This highly collectible piece was commissioned by the Viking Range Corporation to celebrate their 10th anniversary. It was designed in 1996 specifically for the Viking Range Corporation Cooking Team to use at the high-profile "Mississippi Picnic in the Park" event in New York City.

Artisan Craftsmanship: Handcrafted with the assistance of the historic Ole Bridge Pottery in Greenwood, Mississippi, by late master artisan Henry Flautt. The platter is coated in a deep, beautiful cobalt blue glaze, featuring a distinct organic scalloped edge, built-in bail handles, and a stamped central "VIKING" logo. The raw clay bottom features the handwritten inscription: "10th Anniversary 1997", alongside the hand-written edition number "17/100" and the artist's signature markup "H '97". Tray measures 14x17"

Condition: MINT / PRISTINE CONDITION. This piece has spent its entire life strictly as a cabinet display item. It has never been used for cooking or serving. There are absolutely no chips, cracks, flea bites, or glaze crazing. The original protective green felt feet remain intact on the underside.

Included Documentation: Comes complete with the original, rare paper provenance/story card detailing its history, firing temperature (fired to 2291 degrees), and safe use guidelines within a Viking oven.
