A Japanese haribako (traditional sewing box) from the early Showa era, in tamamoku burl grain wood. Five drawers plus one concealed side drawer, and a lift-up top compartment. The kakehari fabric tension clip is still present. Approx. W 32 cm x D 20 cm x H 26.5 cm. Genuine used antique, sold as-is: many fine scratches and surface rubbing across the exterior, and a large stain inside the lift-up top compartment believed to be from oil that leaked long ago. Small dents and minor losses at the edges. Structure is sound and all drawers open and close. Please study every photo before buying. Carefully packed and shipped from Japan with tracking.
