A fascinating period collection containing hand-signed publicity photographs, autographs and personal inscriptions from British variety, music and theatre performers.
Highlights visible in the album include a signed photograph of The Southlanders, apparently signed by all four members Frank Mannah, Allan Wilmot, Vernon Nesbeth and Harry Wilmot, together with numerous other performers including Eric Boswell, Pat Dale, the Lane Brothers and others.
Several inscriptions are dated 1956 and refer to Blackpool, including the Opera House, giving the collection particularly nice period provenance.
The album contains a mixture of photographs signed directly by the performers and autographs/inscriptions written onto the album pages.
