Beautiful vintage blue and white porcelain bowl featuring an elegant lobed/scalloped rim and highly decorative cobalt blue floral decoration.
The interior features a prominent central lotus flower medallion, surrounded by delicate repeating floral sprays along the fluted inner rim. The exterior is equally attractive, decorated with sweeping panels of scrolling flowers and foliage in rich cobalt blue underglaze.
The bowl has a completely blank, smooth base with an unglazed wedge-shaped foot rim, characteristic of some 20th-century Japanese export porcelain. The exact maker and production date are unknown, so please use the photographs and description to form your own assessment of origin.
