Note:

The 3/4 DD Shaft has a flat semicircle end, the DD end has an outer diameter of 1.24 in, and the spline end has a 26-tooth circle. If more than two universal joints are used in the system, support handles must be used. If a larger Angle is required, a second U-joint is recommended.

How to determine the size of a spline?

Be sure to measure the diameter of the shaft and count the number of splines on the shaft.

Some axes have a blank spot on one side. Get the correct spline number.

Use a flat edge and cover the blank to stop the shaft through the diameter and count the other half of the spline. Multiply this number by 2, and you get the total number of splines along the entire circumference of the axis.

Installation Tips:

1.Open the hood to check the front of the steering wheel.

2.Find steering shaft on drive line system. 

3.Unlock the old steering shaft and remove it.

4.Put the new u-joint steering shaft. 

5.Tighten the set screws and jam nuts.

Customers must contact us within 10 days of receipt to approve any return or exchange. Returns or exchanges will incur a 15% restocking fee of the original item purchased, plus return shipping and replacement shipping. Exchanges due to shipping errors by Detroit Axle will not be charged a restocking fee or shipping.
