This is a very attractive Roseville Robinson Ransbottom Pottery brown drip glaze pitcher, an art pottery pitcher made in Roseville, Ohio in the 1940s.  It has beautiful shades of maroon, dark brown, tan, and cream glaze with a decorative drip glaze along the top half and a high gloss top glaze overall.  This pitcher was made with a high level of skill and is a quality product.  I've noticed that the drip glazes are different on every similar pitcher that I've seen online (since the glazes were applied by hand and every pitcher was unique), but I think this pitcher has a particularly beautiful drip glaze and combination of red, dark brown, and cream colors.

Approximate measurements:  7.5" high, 6" wide with handle, and 3.75" diameter at bottom base rim.  Excellent condition!  No chips, cracks, fleabites, or other defects.  The unglazed bottom rim is clean.  This pitcher can be used to serve drinks or it can be used as a flower vase.  Holds 30 fl. oz. or 1.5 pints.  Another fantastic use for this pitcher would be as a utensil holder in the kitchen.
