Description:
For sale is an authentic vintage shooting medal/pin from the 1977 Oktoberfest State Shooting Competition (Landesschießen) held in Munich, Germany. This beautifully detailed piece was issued by the Bayerischer Sportschützenbund (BSSB) and the Deutscher Schützenbund (DSB).
The design features the iconic Patrona Bavariae (the statue of Bavaria with a lion) on the right, and the coats of arms of the shooting associations on the left, topped with targets. The green enamel border contains the inscription: "DEUTSCHER SCHÜTZENBUND · OKTOBERFEST LANDESSCHIESSEN MÜNCHEN 1977".
