the large original ship's crest taken from
HMAV Landing Craft Tank Agedabia
A thick circular oak crest, understood to have been removed from the bridge of this ship prior to it's transfer to the Singapore Navy in 1960.
First ordered in 1944, but just missed hostilities and first served with the Royal Navy after World war 11, before eventually being transferred to the Army
A Mark 8 ocean going Tank Landing craft, loosely based on the WW11 American design, but very much improved to enable it to be ocean going and with a range of 4000 nautical miles.
A unique item, and likely all that now remains of this ship.
Measures 43 cm in diameter and 18 mm in thickness.
