Crozier murdered his wife, Fannie,  by arsenic poisoning
Well publicized trial

Nearly 150 years ago, George E. Crozier, from a prominent Benton family, was convicted and imprisoned on a first-degree murder charge for poisoning his wife, the former Fannie H. Becker, with arsenic. Adding a twist to this saga is that Frank, George and Fannie's only child, believed his father was innocent and actually testified for the defense at the trial.
