Original 1894 U.S. Government Printing Office map plate removed from the Eleventh Census (1890) report, Indians Taxed and Indians Not Taxed in the United States (Except Alaska).

This historic map reproduces Claude Joseph Sauthier's 1771 "Map of the Province of New York Showing the Country of the Six Nations," originally prepared for Governor William Tryon. It illustrates the territory of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy, including tribal lands, settlements, rivers, lakes, and colonial boundaries throughout New York and neighboring regions.
