Original 1894 U.S. Government Printing Office photogravure/halftone plate removed from the Eleventh Census (1890) report, Indians Taxed and Indians Not Taxed in the United States (Except Alaska).

This historic image depicts the Chickasaw Council House in Tishomingo along with identified members of the Chickasaw Senate and House from 1890. Individual members are numbered and identified beneath the photograph, making this an important historical reference documenting the Chickasaw Nation's government during the late nineteenth century.

Removed from a deteriorating original government report. Printed on thin paper as issued. Shows edge wear, age toning, and minor handling wear from removal, including roughness along the binding edge. Please examine the photos carefully for the exact condition.
