A delightful soapstone carving of a pearched bald eagle by Canadian artist BEN PELKEY, this 1980's carving measures approximately 3 1/4" tall x 1 3/4” x 2 1/2, and weighs 200 grams. The carving is signed Ben PelKey on the bottom.  Ben Pelkey is a Canadian Indigenous stone carver from the Coast Salish First Nations band located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He is most widely recognized for his highly detailed, hand-carved soapstone sculptures

Overall condition is very good, there are a few very small knicks on the beak.
