The Tape Gun, a hand-operated device, is used to secure plant stems to supports, trellises, or wires, facilitating plant training and shaping during growth. It’s suitable for any horticulture or agriculture crop requiring the training of plant trunks or stems to attach to stable structures like plant wires, trellises, or stakes.

The Tape Gun employs specialized PVC/PE tie tape that feeds through the unit and is stapled together around the plant stem and support, creating a firm or loose tie depending on the plant material. This specialized tape stretches as the plant stem grows, preventing cuts or growth obstruction.

The Tape Gun operates through a straightforward four-step process. First, the jaw is closed, and slight pressure is applied to close the tooth onto the tape. The handle is then released, pulling the tape out of the unit and stretching it across the jaw’s opening. Next, the stretched tape is pushed over the step of the plant support, ensuring it’s contained within the jaw opening. Finally, increased pressure is applied to close the jaw, wrapping the tape around the stem and support and stapling it together. The blade automatically cuts the tape for a clean finish.
