This wonderful copy is bound in a reddish leather and adorned with gorgeous gilt lettering, decorations, page edges, and illustration on both the front and rear covers!
The spine is done in the style of a Florentine Fillet binding with raised bands though the bottom band is lacking.
The illustration on the front and rear cover features a quote from 119:30 which reads, "The entrance of they word giveth light."
Publisher/Date: Reformed Protestant Dutch Church ; 1856. This book is the leather edition. The remnant of a bookplate is present on the front pastedown. The text is unmarked. The pages have moderate damp staining and several pages have soil spots. The binding is cracking. No dust jacket. The cover is heavily worn along the edges with some scuffing and chips along the spine. The page edges are toned with moderate foxing and damp staining. The corners are bumped and the tips rubbed through. There is a musty odor present.
We hope to have the honor of serving you.
Sincerely,
Shawn and Rebecca
