Original Soviet Leather Wrist Support for Kettlebell Lifters No.1 – 1990

This authentic Soviet leather wrist support ("Напульсник для гиревиков №1") was manufactured in 1990, during the final years of the USSR, for use in the traditional Soviet strength discipline known as Girevoy Sport (kettlebell lifting).

Unlike modern elastic wrist wraps, these supports were made from thick genuine leather and designed to stabilize the wrist while performing heavy snatches, jerks and long-cycle lifts with kettlebells. Their durable construction allowed athletes to train safely while reducing strain on the wrist joint.

The factory markings remain clearly readable, including the product designation, quality grade, technical specification (TU 62-39-75) and production year, adding authenticity and historical appeal.

Today, original Soviet sports equipment has become increasingly desirable among collectors of USSR memorabilia, vintage fitness equipment and Girevoy Sport enthusiasts. Complete examples with intact factory markings are noticeably less common than ordinary used training gear and represent an interesting piece of late Soviet sporting history.
