Vtg Argentina Gold & Alpaca Silver Tea Bombilla Strainer Straw With Yerba Gourd

Used vintage condition with build-up on interior. Some scratching from use. No dents or teeth marks

This item is a bombilla, a specialized metal drinking straw used for consuming yerba mate.

It functions as both a straw and a filter, separating the mate tea leaves from the liquid. It is hinged for easy cleaning. 

It features a perforated filter to prevent tea leaves from being sucked up. Clearly marked Argentina, 8” long with gold tip (not tested). Comes with Yerba mate gourd with silver embossed and gold decoration, marked "Alpaca". Both pieces marked "Industria Argentina"

The second bombilla is newer stainless steel, marked "La Mulata"
