Includes an illustrated 1861 Ilion Bank check from Ilion, NY with an engraved arm-and-hammer design; an 1895 Goshen National Bank check from Goshen, NY; a 1912 Citizens National Bank check from Baker, Oregon; a 1934 Manufacturers National Bank check from Troy, NY; and a 1946 Plouff’s Department Store check drawn through Chittenden County Trust Company in Alburg, VT. The reverses retain period endorsements, collection stamps, clearing-house markings and handwritten notations. Nice antique lot of 5, each having some wear and signed of cancellation.
