Burmese and Hessonite Garnet Necklace 

This necklace was designed using tiny 4mm faceted Burmese orange Garnet and 3mm Hessonite Garnet gemstones, 11/0 Miyuki galvanised gold seed beads, and a gold-plated 925 sterling silver Lobster clasp.  It is approximately 17 inches in length.

The gemstones I use are ethically sourced and hand-cut, so there may be slight differences in colour, size and inclusions within each stone.

Garnet, traditionally the birthstone for January, is technically a group of gemstones that have different forms and colours.  Garnet has been used as a gemstone for over 5000 years.  It has been found in the jewellery of many Egyptian burials and was one of the most popular gemstones of Ancient Rome.
