This is a vintage original fully complete “Around the World” Village Passport from the 1933-1934 Century of Progress World’s Fair in Chicago.  This is passport No. 2113 with the original owner’s name and address written in along with a photo of the original owner.  The original owner is a young woman Chicago native of 29 years of age whose occupation is listed as “School Teacher” who was also a 1934 summer employee as a cashier at the Century of Progress World’s Fair in Chicago.   

The "Around the World" fairgoers used these novelty passports to collect commemorative stamps and cancellation marks as they visited the various international pavilions, ethnic settlements, and themed foreign villages on the Century of Progress fairgrounds.  This passport was fully completed for the Around the World Tour and has the handstamps, inscriptions and signatures from each of the 13 destinations listed in the passport including Irish Village, Mexican Village, Midget City, Streets of Paris and more.
