YOU ARE BIDDING ON A...Vintage J. Wiss & Sons # J7" (Newark, N.J.) curved-blade scissors are premium, drop-forged steel tools renowned for their durability and precision. These collector's items are primarily associated with sewing, embroidery, or industrial tailoring. They feature "inlaid" steel blades—where hardened crucible steel is welded to a tougher, break-resistant frame. 
History & Manufacturing
  • Origin: Founded by Swiss immigrant Jacob Wiss in 1848 in Newark, New Jersey.
  • The Forge Mark: In 1912, the company pioneered drop-forged shears. Authentic vintage pairs typically have "J. Wiss & Sons," "Newark, N.J.", or "Made in U.S.A." stamped on the metal.
  • Curved Blades: Curved blade variations in the Wiss catalog were typically designed for tailoring (to easily ride over fabric layers), cuticle and nail trimming, or specialized embroidery and thread snipping.

Item must be returned within 30 days from notice of return. I will only refund item cost, Not shipping cost.
