Pre-owned vintage condition. All four plaques are in very good condition with no major chips or cracks observed. Please review all photos carefully for condition and the impressed 1986 back marks.

Description

Beautiful vintage set of four hand-painted figural ceramic wall plaques featuring a charming woodland scene.

This matching set includes:

* Girl gathering flowers

* Apple tree

* Two leaping rabbits

Each plaque is individually molded from terracotta-colored ceramic with a glossy hand-painted finish and an impressed 1986 maker’s mark on the reverse.

The impressed mark appears similar to examples attributed to Mercer Moravian Pottery & Tile Works, although I have not been able to verify the maker with certainty. Please examine the photos of the back stamps and determine attribution for yourself.

Approximate measurements:

* Girl: 5” x 4.5”

* Tree: 5” x 3.5”

* Rabbits: approximately 3” x 3” each

These plaques display beautifully together as a nursery, cottage, woodland, or folk art wall vignette.
