A rare metal plaque bearing the USSR state emblem, from the 1946–1956 period, which was installed on border posts. Characteristics: Stamped metal with a galvanic coating (silver/chrome plated). The emblem's ribbons have 16 turns (including those of the Karelo-Finnish SSR). Purpose: Used as an official sign at the USSR state border in the post-war years.

Removed from a post on the Soviet-Romanian border.
