1674 THE GOVERNMENT OF THE TONGUE 2nd Impression By Richard Allestree

This is a rarely seen 2nd impression of 'The Government of the Tongue' by Richards Allestree, published in 1674, just 8 years after the Great Fire of London.

It is in acceptable condition, appearing complete except for the frontispiece, with firm binding apart from the opening two leaves which are detached, please see detailed photos.

The spine is missing and the cover boards are in a poor condition, ripe for re-binding. There is some light watermarking particularly to the title page.


It measures 7.25 inches by 4.75 inches.
